For the vast majority of healthy dogs, yes. Natural Dental Powder is food-safe and blends easily with daily joint chews, fish oil, multivitamins, and standard diets.
However, because our formula contains active, therapeutic sea botanicals, natural minerals, and live probiotics, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Thyroid Conditions or Thyroid Medications: Our Brown Algae (Ascophyllum nodosum) contains naturally occurring organic iodine. If your dog is diagnosed with hypothyroidism or takes thyroid hormone medication (such as Levothyroxine, Thyro-Tabs, or Soloxine), consult your veterinarian before introducing extra dietary iodine.
- High-Dose Vitamin E or Prescription Blood Thinners: Our powder provides 10 mg to 20 mg of Vitamin E per serving. If your dog is already taking a separate high-dose Vitamin E supplement, prescription anticoagulants, or is scheduled for surgery, check with your vet to ensure total daily intake remains within balanced ranges.
- Oral Antibiotics: Our formula includes live, beneficial probiotics (Bacillus subtilis). If your dog is currently taking oral prescription antibiotics, feed the dental powder at a separate meal (spaced at least 2 to 3 hours apart) so the medication does not neutralize the active cultures.

Our little chihuahua is 7 and her teeth have always been a problem. small breed thing I guess. been on this for about a month and a half and her teeth look visibly better. still not perfect but better. her breath doesn't make me want to die anymore
I wanted to write this review because I took before photos and I can see the difference with my own eyes. My dog is a 9 year old lab mix with really stubborn tartar on his upper back molars. it had been building up for years. I started this powder and for the first two weeks I didnt see any visible change, just his breath got better. but then around week 3 I noticed the edges of the tartar looked different, like softer. by week 5 I could actually see chunks missing from the tartar, like it was breaking off. I found pieces of hard stuff on his bed sometimes which I think was tartar flaking off. at 8 weeks I would estimate about 60% of the tartar is gone. GONE. I havent done anything else, just this powder once a day on his food. I have no idea how its possible but its happening. 100% recommend
the results are gradual but real. week 1 breath improved. week 3 saw first visible teeth changes. week 5 clear tartar reduction. im at week 8 now and my dogs mouth looks great. patience pays off
